I appreciate you coming into the conservation. Could you educate us on how things work?

Happy to help however I can. If I may, which regulations is it you believe the department of education controls?

All politics is local, with the department of education this is true as well. State equivalents and superintendents boards are responsible for most issues. I can say in my state, we've made huge improvements.

To be sure, every state has its own structure. That said, I'm not sure what "issues" you're referring to. Meanwhile, how NH is structured to handle issues is unique to NH. The problems, though, won't be solved by eliminating public education.

Understood. The challenge is that's the inevitable outcome of what you, Corey, et al are advocating for - there is no public education if we switch to funding students directly. It's simply not possible.

There's no proof to suggest that as it has never happened. We have education freedom accounts here and yet public schools are doing just fine. Every time these predictions are made the current system remains and the sky doesn't fall.

And yet, they're not doing fine. Meanwhile, the challenge isn't what has happened or what is happening - it's what you want to happen. Public ed doesn't exist under Corey's model. It's simply not possible.

I want options for students and parents in order to tailor education to the needs of the child.

Students and parents have options - homeschooling and private schools are legal in all 50 states, including NH. Meanwhile, what does it mean to "tailor education" to the needs of the child?

Accessibility to those options and different methods. I'm not adherent to Corey's model. My state is unique and I want the best for my state. We're making fantastic strides here in that direction and have increased accessibility and accountability.
