Museums & Special Collections don't preserve/represent history. There is bias in every item in our collections by way of why we have it, who acquired it, and how. Would love to teach a class on archival silences. Actually proposed an exhibit with mostly empty cases. Too radical?

"Political correctness" as a term has been systematically emptied of meaning by the very folks who brandy it about. At this point "PC" is an indicator of anxiety about social change AND a label that spurs rejection of that social change, all without having a stable meaning.
