That’s what I tell my friends who say they’re “ just not political”. I don’t have many of those friends any more, they’re tired of my trying to interest them in fixing the country when all they want to do is enjoy their privileged lives without guilt.

I had that talk with my 8yo old daughter about a month ago. She said, "President Trump hasn't been so bad, has he?" and I had to explain, "He hasn't been so bad for US because we're white. He's been awful for others." and then we talked about details. I want her to be aware.

All truth. I like to add "for white people" at the end of the Pledge of Allegiance. And after basically every sentence of America's founding documents. "...that all [white] men are created equal..."
