people are really fatigued. Not an excuse, but an explanation that I think everyone can empathize with.

Especially with a vaccine on the horizon! It baffles me that an often toxic family holiday in the most toxic of political years is the thing that suddenly is worth killing grandma to preserve.

Probably a lot of overlap between the people who really feel a need to do it up big this year, and the people most responsible for making it so toxic
