    This enstranged mother thing makes me remember Malcolm X recalling of life after his father’s demise. His mother was frustrated, angrier & whipped him more. He said looking back, one thing he was always proud of was that he never disrespected or raised his hands against her.

    Our problem is often that of ignorance & unwillingness to see through the lens of deen. Our noble causes would still be doable if we looked out for what could go against the Sha’riah & forestall it. We don’t plan with the shari’ah, rather we start & then look for justifications.

    I know some things most people don’t know, but I am not an authority to start modeling your religious life after. Twitter is not some alternative ID for me, most of the people I interact with here I know irl & they know I am just another regular guy trying to survive modern life.

    A big challenge today is that lots of things that aren’t actually deen have been mixed with it & those that are not central to it have been take as it’s core pillars. What’s worse is we now expend more energy in defending these as opposed to living those which actually are.
