Replicache is a new way to build web apps that uses browser storage and realtime sync to make it easy to create UIs that (a) respond instantly to interaction — without spinners or progress bars — and (b) update live to show changes from other users.
Repliear syncs 11k bugs (~50MB) into Replicache. It loads in ~2s cold, ~instant after.
Because the data is local, sorts, filters, and mutations can be done on-device, with zero latency. Changes are synced between users in realtime.
Try it yourself at https://repliear.vercel.app.
Linear has long been an inspiration of ours, so it was really fun reimplementing some of its features and trying to match its performance.
We were pleased to find that for the most part Replicache made this pretty straightforward.
