    Today my client was excited to push the elevator buttons on the way to her first deportation hearing. Afterwards I congratulated her on tying her shoes by herself. She's 6 and thinks she should only get a lawyer if she can pay for one

    My 5-yr-old client can’t tell me what country she is from. We prepare her case by drawing pictures with crayons of the gang members that would wait outside her school. Sometimes she wants to draw ice cream cones and hearts instead. She is in deportation proceedings alone.

    I'm at the Casa el Presidente detention facility in Brownsville where this admin is holding "tender age" boys. They won't let me in. We told this admin last week we'd be coming. What is this admin hiding? When will these children be reunited with their families? We need answers!

    To everyone who has tweeted back, "Not me, I can PROVE I'm a citizen" -- you miss the point. Without due process, who will you "prove" it to? Where will you show your proof? A right to a hearing / judicial review protects ALL of us.

    If Trump can deny due process to those allegedly here unlawfully, ICE can grab YOU, allege you aren’t a citizen & deport you w/out a hearing
