    I saw her on the footpath near my place like this. Same spot, same posture, everyday, all the time. Just crying and begging for help. For help, not money. But did anyone help? Nope. People just went past her like she doesn’t even exist.

    I feel like a lot of US citizens don’t quite get how hard it is to get an immigrant visa even if you are super qualified—many friends/family have struggled w the H1-B lottery or spent months applying for an O1 or got denied entry even though they have MIT degrees/great jobs/etc

    I do not endore Rahul Gandhi at all. But this news is important.

    The ban imposed on by 4 airlines is the act of a coward leveraging his influence with the Govt to silence a critic. Those who use their "news" cameras as 24x7 tools of propaganda, should show some spine when the camera is turned on them.

    The DGCA says the airline bans against clearly violate the rules. Airlines are supposed to impose a temporary ban of 30 days and then conduct an internal enquiry headed by a retired judge into the incident.
