How much more do we have to listen to Boris Johnson’s empty boasts on climate when true picture is -past achievements exaggerated -future targets off track -continued funding for oil & gas overseas We need the truth on the . We’re not hearing it

It should be a criminal offence for or any other Prime Minister to lie to the House of Commons during . If it's not then democracy means nothing, official communication means nothing and our leaders live in a fantasy world where nothing really has any value.

Johnson’s decision to ban selected media from having access to civil service briefings damages democracy. I have written to the Cabinet Secretary to ask him to investigate this matter.

I can safely say that in 22 years of being a political journalist, I've never experienced a day like today. No.10 sources now insisting that political editors like myself "are not banned, they are just not invited".

This Govt’s attempts to control the media grow more dangerous - Threats to BBC’s funding - Banning ministers from some airwaves - Choosing which journalists can cover Number 10 briefings This from a PM who was once a journalist

Breaking/ just tried to ban certain national newspapers from a Number 10 briefing. This is truly sinister stuff. Hats off to the BBC, ITV, Mail, Telegraph & Times for walking out too in protest, rather than let him get away with it.

And so it begins...Journalists have walked out of a Downing Street briefing on Boris Johnson’s Brexit plans after the prime minister’s director of communications tried to restrict it to selected publications and broadcasters

Boris Johnson's latest Brexit statement. Worker rights abolished. Customs checks on borders including Ireland, threatening the Good Friday Agreement. Budgets to be cut by 5% extending even worse austerity. Well done Brexiteers, wave your little flag, this is just the start.

British political reporters right to stick together to stop No 10 choosing who scrutinises the PM. Big principles at stake. Number 10 seems to back free trade in goods but not in information.

“Among those who refused the briefing and walked out included the BBC’s Laura Kuenssberg, ITV’s Robert Peston and political journalists from the Daily Mail, Telegraph, the Sun, Financial Times, and Guardian.” Well done and about time before you create a mirror image of Trumpland

Love the No 10 rebranding of a “no trade deal” Brexit - ie WTO with tariffs, serious friction and a bit of mitigation - as an “Australia-style” deal. Just a reminder: Australia has no FTA with the EU and is 9,000 miles away, not 30

We are choosing the leave the Customs Union and Single Market. This creates a customs and regulatory border. Goods will not be able to move across them unless they have been declared. Please understand the consequences of our own choices. Please grow up.
