at first blush seems to have much in common with the Buddhist concept of sunyata (emptiness)

I'm not familiar with that concept but it probably does given that Barad is sympathetic to processual thinking which isn't inconsistent with some branch of Buddhism. Well, that's my desperate attempt to make some connection.
