Eh, I dunno. Fandom when it’s “You like X, I like X, let’s be enthusiastic about X” can be cool. Sadly a lot of the most visible ‘fans’ lately seem to be the toxic ones, ones where people put way too much of their identity into a franchise, or both. And those people ruin fandoms.
