People: 14.5GW in 5 yrs is nothing short of a runaway clean energy train. To compare, peak load in ISO NE today (6/2/22) is ~14GW and was 70% gas rather than 70% renewable (NY target for 2030 in law). NY is not debating, it’s acting, & has set a pace we all need to catch up to.
Quote Tweet
For five years running, @NYSERDA has committed to over 120 large-scale renewable projects totaling 14,500+ MW, enough to power over 5.2 million homes. When these projects commence operations, New York’s grid will be powered by approximately 66 percent renewables!
