    Great post on drawing better graphs in papers! I think that the advice is general and holds true at least for systems papers.

    Another research direction is building storage systems for NVM/persistent memory (such as Intel DC Persistent Memory). has been working with and me to build a new file system for NVM that increases performance while providing strong guarantees!
