    📈 Updated the blog post. Initial data set contained ~10% false positives and ~4% false negatives for 'DV/OV certificates with OCSP staple', due to a mistake in my data collection script. Sadly, the correct data paints an even sadder picture ☹️

    just 5 mins ago I encountered once again how this can easily lead to a poor user experience (e.g. the site loads fine over http:// and browser ui tells me Not Secure)

    Adding to my list of blog posts I want to write: how Chromium browsers behave when user types in a domain in address bar and this domain has not yet been visited in the browser (spoiler: browser will try insecure http first, unless root domain in in HSTS preload list)

    Dit is default gedrag van Chromium browsers: als domein onbekend is voor de browser, dan éérst een request doen voor het domein met het insecure scheme http:// , tenzij het root domein in de HSTS Preload List staat (niet het geval voor )

    Searched for "EV certificate" on Twitter and saw multiple certificate vendors advertising the 'green bar' as a benefit of an EV cert (this is a lie). Also, people complaining it's a hassle and taking a long time to actually get the EV cert.
