    The number of active hate groups in the U.S. declined in 2020, according to the Southern Poverty Law Center. But the center says far-right extremists migrated further to social media and encrypted apps, where they are more difficult to track.

    Almost every year during , I watch a Stanley Nelson documentary on the Black Press — “Soldiers Without Swords” — which I highly recommend to any journalist who wants to understand the Black community’s rocky relationship with mainstream media.
