My man! I am proud of you from across time and space!
In elementary school, I was a special education student who wasn't fully mainstreamed until 5th grade. In high school, I had to repeat my junior year after dropping out and failing the first time around. This morning I found out that I've been granted tenure by UC Berkeley.

The tradegy is.that we know so little and do so much damage, especially if we have low expectations. I think minority kids experience are hurt the most. Thanks for sharing this.

Yes. Absolutely. I've benefited from a great deal of privilege in my life. There's no doubt that that has played a role.
