Nearly 100% of people who are against flawed but important policies that help low income families survive in the current system (while we fight to create a better system) have the privilege/bank accounts to hold those views — and I wish they would realize that.

I’ve never had a homeless/extremely rent burdened family say to me “no, I don’t want a housing voucher because it would benefit my landlord”
Vouchers are no panacea, but being able to pay rent is better than not being able to pay rent, which is why millions of families want them
