    Tesla just *raised* the prices of all their solar panels (sometime in the last few days) and are pushing $1.49/watt, which is after gov't tax credits. Before tax credits, they're now all exactly $2.01/watt. Still a very competitive deal.

    More on this same calculation: over the 25 year lifetime of solar panels (on my roof), I'm projected to save just $9.3K (not the $22K Tesla claims). An $11-18K investment in solar panels would raise my property value by $21-28K (based on anticipated savings) the first year.
