I saw it & was like, yeah one more celeb promoting toxic diet culture. Bollywood will never learn.
-
Yaar they need to learn it's ok to be fat provided you are healthy and if you are unhealthy then it's not even okay to be thin. The bottom line is to be healthy. Certain ailments require a person to lose weight and that's fine but don't go body-shaming or hating plump people!
-
They need to learn fat people have the right to exist irrespective of health. Healthy can't be used as an excuse to fat shame, humiliate, judge & mock fat people. Fat people have the right to their life & bodies without being told what to do with it.
-
It's never OK to humiliate, mock or shame people for being fat!! Health is personal requirement. It should not and does not give an excuse to anyone to indulge in shaming and insulting.
-
#VidyaBalan,#MadhuriDixit,#SonakshiSinha,#RaniMukherjee,#ManishaKoirala all shamed for being voluptuous. Designers like#ManishMalhotra couldn't create for#Vidya. Designing for slender people is no innovation or brilliance. Creativity is to create & innovate for all sizes -
Please don't get me started on Indian fashion industry and their inherent fatphobia and sizeist attitude. None of the women mentioned are even plus size & they still struggle so image the plight of real plus size & fat women.
-
Dude, temme about it. It's beyond appalling!! Can you imagine a
#ViolaDavis in lead in a Bollywood movie? I still recall the way#ManishaKoirala and#MadhuriDixit were treated for their above avg body size. Designers choice of attire for Manisha in late 90s was horrific
