I would add that the ONLY ethical way to do letters of recommendation is to give it to the referee to review before sending. This is the “would you say it to their face” test. Confidential letters are BULLSHIT. But asking the referee to write the first draft is lazy bullshit!

Just a question if a may. Why adjectives as "hard-working" must be avoid? For me, this is one of the best attributes you can say from a person. At least, I've always found more valueable an achievement based on effort than simply on an innate talent...

It isn't that being hard-working is bad. Take a look at the two lists of adjectives - how do they seem different to you?
