when the parents raise the child right, the child sees further and clearer than either of them and thus gains the clarity to judge them as Bad this is their ultimate sacrifice

and so it is with reality. reality, no matter how terrible, creates the very standards it is judged by and that judgement is almost always cynical and negative this is known as “dying for another’s sins”
