You can't gain more weight than the actual weight of the food you eat, right? That's just obvious. But when you eat food that makes you gain weight does it do so by your body using the mass of unrelated food or only that food?

food can also cause you to want to eat more food it's not chemically airtight equation as "X combines with Y to produce mass" but it likely generates the *bulk* of weight gain. the starvation signal is pretty overriding
