the thing about sociopaths (in the negative sense, not the gervais principle positive sense) is that they are never “outed” legibly like harvey weinstein, they are an “open secret” that you just have to infer from others

similarly, if you are in the nature and being hunted by a wild cat you will never actually SEE the cat because you die simultaneously at the moment of realization the only time you CAN see a cat is within a domesticated boundary when it is not hunting
