      this increased ability to sell out is a "good" thing b/c it increases what society finds valuable the market now allows you to sell parts of yourself that previously could not be monetized but were important parts of your life

      they are "evil" in that they put a price on the priceless but they are "good" in that at least the priceless now has an effective value greater than 0
