imagine a separated group of people with a set of hyper-dimensional legos. the goal is for them to build the same tower and be able to trust that everyone is building the same tower each new block has to be rotated in a super special way in order to "fit" on the tower

whenever someone discovers a way of rotating the new lego block to create a tower that points to god betterer that person broadcats it to everyone then everyone syncs up with this new tower b/c it is easy to confirm via "i know it when i see it" that it does indeed point to god

if there are multiple towers being broadcast, everyone chooses the tallest tower, the one that has had the most shape rotation effort put into it (as measured in megatwists) the more megatwists a tower embodies, the betterer it points to god

this solves the the problem of everyone being able to know that everyone else is building the same tower* because the shape of the tower is proof that it contains the most megatwists *the tippy tops of the tower will be in flux but the lower blocks will be certain

just like a dollar bill is fancy paper with a bunch of energy put into it like pretty symbols, a taller tower is proof that a lot of energy was put into it except instead of fancy pretty symbols the height itself is proof of megatwist expenditure

this gives the male hooman sth to do since due to a bug it is excessively good at shape rotation and not so good at finding a reason to live (the female hooman tends to have the opposite problem unless she is, for some reason, also engaged in shape rotating)

synchronized towers, or "pointers to god" are useful for collaboration b/c no matter how violent the conflict gets everyone can take out their towers and exclaim "omg we are the same!!!"

this is similar to how an irs agent cannot easily bring the law down on a fellow citizen for not reporting dogecoin gains if the irs agent also has invested in dogecoin the agent sees that they believe in the same god
