there are both cultural and genetic aspects to this. sports and video games for e.g. train for harnessed anger that can be switched on and off. girls tend to be socially punished for failing to be agreeable, etc…

individuals hold onto guns when unnecessary when emasculated. a gun represents the ownership over explosiveness of anger when society denies the ability to channel it in some other fashion
