eric berne’s “strokes” are similar to economic transactions and follow the same law of equivalent exchange given this law though, how do individuals become excessively wealthy or excessively popular given limits on time and energy?

the more layers you create, the more leveraged your everyday actions because you cause can cause massive status cascades leaving the lower levels scrambling to find a new equilibrium or even looking for a new job/group
