while i think there is critical information when sensing a “vibe” it feels distasteful to codify it as a value judgment vs purely as a personal compass. especially in formal areas like an interview
e.g. boil down jew/asian/etc college admission discrimination and it’s basically “lack of vibe” with the existing student body once “holistic evaluations” start then it’s longer keeping standards high, it’s just gatekeeping
