If you know why π is between 3 and 4 — if that’s even meaningful to you — please explain.
a lot of these “weird” numbers are just artifacts of using base 10. you could imagine that nature itself thinks in pi and e and wonders why hoomans count in this weird 1, 2, 3, 4, ... notation and y they even bothered upgrading from the i, ii, iii, iv,... notation
So that’s exactly it, isn’t it. π would be between 3 and 4 regardless of which base. 3 is the number after the number after 1. So what is the relationship between circularity or sinusoidal waves and counting?
We often define π as the ratio of circumference to diameter, but I think starting at circularity/ sinusoidal waves and trying to connect π to counting is a mistake
0/1/2/3/4/... arise from set theory, they are very much not arbitrary!
