one reason I don't like "no one sees themselves as the bad guy" is that it's not true. there's defs people who see themselves as hurting others and think of themselves as irredeemable trash and who defs do not see themselves as a Good Person
i think it's more that "no one sees themselves as unjust" either they are so fallen that they wage eternal war against the world. or they acting amorally in a sociopathic manner bc it's just a 'game'. just like how i act "bad" when i play the game secret hitler as hitler
