so equality (of outcome) means that there needs to be constant force exerted to keep everything in balance. this constant force is like a prison.

life is exponential because life produces copies of itself that produce copies of itself and so on any force that forces inequality thus works by culling this kind of life

this is the intuition behind why a 1% tax can end up reducing wealth by 45%. it “kills” the children that could’ve had children that could’ve had children etc... http://www.paulgraham.com/wtax.html

it isn’t even stolen, it is killed. it’s not like the 1% tax is used to fund a similar firm with same expected return. it’s just extracted out to control inflation and redistribute wealth.

this is the tricky bit... natural growth is exponential winner take all but so is cancer. how can you tell if a system is a lynchpin of the ecosystem (like trees) vs a cancer or virus?

equality of outcome then is like chemotherapy. and chemotherapy is basically poison a useful tool, but not to be confused with a vitamin

A tree that monopolizes light and resources can kill an entire forest. Dead plants and leaves acidify the ground and roots, killing the tree and leaving nothing in its place. The plants near the ground have no freedom to grow when they die. Freedom and equality are not opposites.
