modernity for the modern hooman is the constant entrapment of profane space looping into more profane space profanity as such is defined as space that has no Center with which to orient around

a Sacred space which has a Center or Holy Ground creates a sense of Home precisely because it is distant from the everyday mundane world of the profane Home thus is something to go BACK to occasionally, not something to continuously LIVE from

the Anxious Hooman or the Abandoned Orphan is constantly trying to create a sense of Home and carry it around like a snail's shell. this constant burden creates a perpetual chip on the shoulder as the house wears and tears being dragged through the material world

if the hooman identifies with its mortal shell, it eventually comes to the conclusion that the Home it is trying to recreate is only childhood memory. a distortion of a reality that never was. this is known as The Fall

if instead it identifies with its immortal oneness, it must conclude that it arrives at Home only during the moment of death thus it is trapped between a rock and a hard place. the suffering of reality, or the nothingness of non-reality.

thus the hooman is always obsessed with meaning because meaning allows it to justify its continued existence despite the constant background of suffering

those who continue to have access to sacred spaces can recharge or "center" themselves via a feeling of Home the Orphan, who is disconnected, is perpetually lost and easily integrated into cults because they can create artificial Centers that temporarily stave off dark thoughts

however the Sacred by definition cannot be "created". it can only be "reconnected" to because the root of the sacred experience by necessity must reach back to the Beginning
