many of the stoopider hoomans believe that "cults are bad" equates to "groups/friendship are bad" that's like accusing someone saying "credit debt is bad" as "money is bad"
this is the exact opposite. valuing money and valuing credit are literally opposites. the former sees abundance in tokenized scarcity while the latter sees pseudo-abundance as the solution to scarcity. credit and money are near enemies.

there is a connection between these two examples as well. cultists tend to be willing to stack up "fake money" (credit) while hating literal money (whatever currently has the most Faith Density and thus the most Scarcity)

the confusion between scarcity and abundance and is the root cause for all sorts of collapse. egoic collapse (depression), economic collapse (bankruptcy), psychic collapse (group suicide)https://twitter.com/a_yawning_cat/status/1342416392507682817 …

however the Near Enemy effect has to be teased out since there IS actual virtue in hating money. this is bc there IS something to the idea that "scarcity is the devil's lie, abundance is God's truth"

but spending money like it's literally Free is just "doing and saying what I want" with extra steps. It's a symptom of narcissistic self delusion that doesn't respect that all the hoomans must somehow allocate limited resourceshttps://twitter.com/a_yawning_cat/status/1389767010213515264 …

"your personal suffering gives you NO EXCUSE for self delusion. i shall beat you with a stick and force you sit alone in a dark cave for 10 years" is literally the crux of (some) spiritual practices

just like with credit, cults can be VERY useful tools as long as you are AWARE of things like interest rates, leverage, etc... once you lose track of credit and start confusing it with money *cough* global economy *cough* then everything gets all sorts of fucked up
