imo the issue is of non-individuals wanting to BE individuals instead of being trapped by history and cultural conditioning however the demand is RECOGNITION of an individuality that does not yet exist they want to feel free through external validation rather than be free
so the “individual” who wants to be seen is stuck in a painful spot. they cannot be actually seen as an individual without being lied to but to *really* be seen requires them to accept self as a zombie automaton of sorts
