i think the gifter/giver themselves often isn‘t clear if they are gifting or giving. most *think* they are gifting but are not. e.g. the same way not knowing how to love hurts someone, not knowing how to gift is indirectly the source of resentment
and this doesn’t even include the receiver’s gift/giving misinterpretation! which maps to “you can’t be loved unless you let yourself be loved” a “right” gifting requires both gifter and receiver to BOTH know what they’re doing. which rarely happens

I’m not grokking the distinction between giving and gifting.

ah ic, i’m using “giving” to mean giving w true intent of gift but actually having a resentment response when the gift isn’t reciprocated. the strings that were attached were subconscious
