many people will give up the chance to compound at 15% because they’re envious and want to catch up to someone who has been compounding at 10% for a much longer time so they yolo into a theoretical 500% compound scheme and lose

a lot of it is “i’m JUST as good as you!” not realizing they’re being given “you’re BETTER than me, here’s all my knowledge so you can compound at a 50% higher rate”
