facebook’s theory is that the virtual world can provide mental inputs that eventually will be equal to if not greater than physical environment stimulus. for many nerdy/geeky types this was *true* growing up.

like a ponzi scheme, this only works when the line of credit increases over time as more people are pulled in to this Cult of The Secret. once the faith/credit-line maxes out, the structure implodes through kool aid mass suicide

that point does not exist because where you are now by definition is where you are in your life. it’s just difficult to see this because most are forcibly being dragged backwards instead of walking forwards with eyes open
