Dont understand the modern version How is education barbarism? I can see cancel culture fitting the bill, and it being related to education. But feels like too many inferential leaps
in ancient times barbarians were those who rediscovered Power when Civilization grew ignorant of it ironically, in modern times where knowledge is power, barbarism is correlated with education

e.g. hoomans in developing nations taking all the high tech jobs changing/ruling the world but also more tolerant of caste systems, high power distance, gaudy displays of wealth, racism, extremist traditionalism, etc.. it doesn't mesh w/ the developed's notion of "culture"
