dog walkers tend to only know the names of the dogs they meet, not the other owners. the dog may as well BE the identity. hoomans similarly create representatives that interface for them in the world. just like a dog, it is socially agreeable and presentable.

many hoomans act like dogs despite being hooman because this crafted identity revolves around being socially agreeable and presentable which are doglike traits. they want to just exist and have the world go "oh wow, you are a GOOD" this requires leashing and walking yourself

other crafted identities are not so useful because they don't increase your ability to interface socially as much. (social coordination being hoomanity's greatest strength) you can write a book or talk to yourself or sth... but it very rarely translates into money/status/power

I spent a while trying to come up with “what makes someone easy to coordinate with socially?” Outside of being agreeable, presentable, and helpful (the doglike traits) and the fact that I couldn’t come up with any is startling. Maybe leading?

that's b/c being "doglike" is felt as being inferior UNLESS the hierarchy of value has something infinitely divine as a capstone. e.g. a belief in God allows a hooman to serve humbly just like alfred serves batman w/o feeling inferior. humble servitude becomes noble.
