using a credit card to pay back a credit card is actually a eureka moment where you discover a hack for infinite money for credit cards this is “lol dumb” bc of cultural wisdom but for many other domains this eureka false-insight is still accepted as genuine

e.g. with bi-polar depression you can “borrow” from the future by projecting a heroic image to motivate you. if that pops, you can project an even more heroic redemption arc. this creates cycles of booms and busts.

it’s all the same. it’s using the footure as a cum dumpster to realize the present self’s image of “Mighty Me” imagination is a powerful thing. but it was never designed to be load bearing.
