complexity can only be solved with complexity because to propose simplicity requires throwing nearly everyone under the bus by making them look and feel stupid “if u tell the truth, make them laugh. otherwise they will kill you”

also most of the time the existing complexity is already a solve-complexity-with-complexity hack. meaning that the “simple” proposal is usually naive. proposing simplicity simply isn’t worth it politically. you lose when you lose and lose when you win.
