rationality as a core virtue is problematic b/c it requires calculation. a finished calculation isn't possible except for toy problems or stripping the world into caricatures. rationality thus requires analysis which is correlated with IQ which is 'unevenly distributed'

take dog training. many people get frustrated by dogs despite their being the most Earnest things. they feel like the dog is purposely not listening to them or purposely disobeying. however, from the dog's perspective, it is trying its heart out to do the right thing

all frustration is failure to communicate. while for hoomans you can have intentional "lalala i can't hear youuuu." dog are *really* trying their best to listen. it's just that their internal state does a depth-first-search of their reality. some kinda lsd/ecstasy combo state

a failure to listen from the other's perspective is being overwhelmed by a signal from another source. why are YOU necessarily more interesting than some other signal? all signals arise out of consciousness/god so to desire to be THE Source you are competing with another's God

thus rationalism often times leads to a certain kind of authoritarianism that boils down to "if only the stupids were more logical, spent the time to, etc..."

which boils down to "if only they were more predictable" which boils down "if only there were more like machines" which boils down to "if only i could PROGRAM them"

someone who has a God cannot be (re)programmed so easily so this desire then boils down to God Slaying. also known as a holy war.https://twitter.com/a_yawning_cat/status/1336552708405260289 …
