every framework of understand exists because it SURVIVES and it survives because it is rigid and resists the destructive effect of time. any useful information is going to, by necessity, be somewhat corrupted by this rigidity

cult-surfing is the only way to avoid entrapment. the first disillusionment often leads to a desire for a One True Truth but that's just starting over from the bottom of another hierarchy of understanding. once you reach the top, you realize it's just another cult

they are however often the only useful forms of information. you're not going to get much useful information out of listening to the murmurings of a river or the whisper of the wind even if they are "Truer" (if you can, then you don't actually need what you're looking for)
