'big companies bad!' has a grain of truth. even though they are american companies, the profits they gain may not actually go to improving anything in the us due to tax evasion. they are held in reserve to further the gains of the company only.
tech companies specifically also often have many more immigrants. the salaries are taxed and spent locally ofc, but there's proportionately more that is sent or saved for back-to-home-country-when-racism-hits-the-fan plans
the central governing entity is like an angry father yelling at his rich son. 'hey kid! i made you possible, why don't you help me out a bit here.' 'no dad, you suck!!!' and all the rest of the brothers and sisters hate this rich son. 'ur abandoning ur family!!"
a us company can set up accounting so that in terms of cash flow, it's indistinguishable from being headquartered in a caribbean island in this sense, is it really a us company? it's merely amassing private wealth for private purposes while paying token loyalty lip service
