the messaging you have between the support rep IS an earnest good faith attempt at solving a problem. it just never amounts to anything so ur left feeling frustrated. this is also how the voice in ur brain works.
a lot of times a hypocritical feeling company is just the result of a support rep trying too hard at their job and shattering themselves onto the corporate bureaucracy or spamming a jira board in a futile attempt to feel like their job isn't bullshit.
