not sure if this is offensive or a compliment but every time i feel unsafe somewhere new and see a lot of asians i sigh with relief “thank god, i’m physically safe, the most that’ll happen is i get scammed or pickpocketed or sth else non violent”

My parents were always very relieved when they found out I was hanging out with Asians, and told me not to hang out with white or black people (they had no way of enforcing this, there was an ocean between us).
