there's a theory that female agreeableness is an advantage for child-rearing. otherwise there would be no way to take care of an infant w/ such a long helpless/curious phase w/o throwing it out a window

this same agreeableness is also found within people that society may classify as "bullies" or "alphas" or "confident". the positive/negative phrasing varies but at the heart of it is degree of agreeableness.

agreeableness by itself in a vacuum, in purely competitive contexts is obviously a weakness. but in tribal/family/work contexts they may be the critical thing that holds everything together yet is overlooked b/c its contribution can't be measured.

men can also be agreeable, though they often need to know there place within a dominance hierarchy and know clearly why they are there and what they need to do to go up (and feel that they have a chance if they pay their dues)

if everyone were a special snowflake then no thing would get then. people would just fight all the time. imo not everyone should even BE special snowflakes. many people (men and women) may actually prefer the sideline support role as long as they are appreciated.

this would imply that the real issue is not about agreeable people learning to become more disagreeable and "stand up for themselves" and "set boundaries" and "communicate more directly/bluntly" (as these are phallic skills that can incur negative feelings in others.)

the whole POINT is that the ability to avoid negative feelings or even turn them into positive feelings is a STRENGTH. the real issue is about appreciating/compensating this illegible contribution.

tldr; the dicks are in a dick swinging contest and if everyone joins in as a dick then the dicks have nothing to fight for anywhere. all they can do is dick around for the rest of eternity.

addendum: compensation is a legible number so it's impossible to compensate an illegible contribution unless that contribution is made legible (thus destroying its method of action)
