lending money w/o interest reminds me of unlimited PTO. the 'cost' is hidden. e.g. lending money to friend/family w no interest seem to 'force' a sub/dom relationship. just like how unlimited PTO forces more work-life integration w/ your company than u may want.

While true, this view seems itself symptomatic of the modern transactional mode of being. If these aspects appeared in a more indigenous/relational/healthily-interdependent context, they would seem a lot less problematic.

they *are* virtuous stances. but it’s the kind of corrupted virtue that can be a way of ignoring reality. e.g. “my daughter thinks about sex???!!! chastity belt and lock her in the cave.”
