play seems to require a serious non-seriousness. e.g. to play fetch w seriousness you’d have to be in a mindset of Retrieving the Holy Grail. intent and model can have different levels of play/seriousness.

serious play: Game serious work: responsibility playful play: enjoyment playful work: acceptance each maps to a general “life stance”.

if your stance is unbalanced then u need someone else to cancel out your responsibility/enjoyment and vice versa. without seriousness u die pretty fast (or become a parasite) but w/o play life isn’t worth living.

Game and acceptance are somewhat similar. accepting Game means not getting mad at other players or the rules as long as you chose to play. anger at a game is a symptom of addiction. u want to play but u don’t even like it.

original sin and similar concepts force work/play into a hierarchy of value. if life is a gift then life has an element of seriousness to it. the gift is still intended to be enjoyed but it isn’t “yours” to do as you please. thus life is primarily “work” or “suffering”

this elevates acceptance above Game since Game requires acceptance of the rules but life is a forced game. any Game you consciously play then is finite inside this larger game. “You” are always a concept *inside* consciousness.
