my intuition for y inflation happens (b/c reduced purchasing power of your crystallized work feels unfair) is the red queen rat race. everything 'rots' unless it is placed in the Freezer of God. (death preserves 'you' for eternity preventing u from becoming harvey dent)

in nature, to be overcompensated (due to ur smarts & leverage) is to be burdened with responsibility for doing sth with ur excess resources. bury the acorns, but also grow a tree while ur at it. inflation mimics the idea that Life is borrowed time. giveth and taketh

when money supply is always growing, your ownership over the world has a constant rate of decay. you will be recycled whether you want to or not. vs bitcoin where your death can permanently reduce supply.

when supply is reduced, trade is more difficult. 1000 seashells may be enough for a small village to track all the favors, but it's not enough for a megacity of millions. inflation ideally tracks the amount of 'activity' going on within a system.

cash is like sugar, you want just enough of it so that all cells get the ATP they need but too much and it's toxic, it needs to be converted into a more stable form like fat. note that in a perfect sugar system, there is no excess energy for sth like cancer to leech.

(ketosis seems to actually help with certain kinds of cancer)

bitcoin seems to be a desire for a kind of immortality where you don't have to eat because you don't have an asshole. like kim jong-un. it's like if ur rectum were connected to your stomach. infinite energy??? fully self contained. perpetual motion.
